  • CISCO IP PHONE 3905 is not working with HP A5120E POE

    Hello,

    I have a network with HP A5120E POE Switches. I have deployed 2 VLANs, one for data and one for voice. I'm using Cisco IP Phones 7945, 6941 and 3905 with 2 network connections, one for the network and one for the PC.

    All phones working fine except 3905 models this model is not able to register.

    All my switches are A5120 POE Switch; could anyone can help me solve this issue

    Is the phone getting power but just not registering? Also what call management system are you using, CUCM ,CUCME ? The 3905 is a SIP based phone. I am assuming your running SIP on CUCM? or are you using SCCP?

      we are using UCME;
      yes it is getting power....it is not registering in the phone showing registering only it staying like that no changes....
      Yesterday I connected one cisco POE switch with this 3905 phone it is working fine.... i hope the problem on hp switchside. may be i missing some configuration..... becuase other phones are working with hp A5120 POE without any problems

        Okay if the phone works and registers with the cisco poe switch in place then we know the 3905 phone loads/files are on the router running UCME and its not a power issue (at least with the cisco switch). I did find that the first UCME version to support the 3905 is CME 8.8

        I would double check your config on the hp switch. Worst case scenario is maybe put a
        CCNA, CCNA-Security, CCNP

          we are using UCME 9.1

          my hp switch interface configuration details are here

          interface GigabitEthernet1/0/2
          port link-type hybrid
          port hybrid vlan 5 tagged
          port hybrid vlan 1 62 untagged
          undo voice vlan mode auto
          poe enable
          -----------------------------

            Not familair with the hp switchport config. May be worth while to check out their support .
