  • Cisco ASA 5510 not letting traffic to internet

    Hi,

I have just set up a Cisco ASA 5510. It basically only contains the settings provided in the startup wizzard. It however does not let through traffik from the internal interface to wan 2 (wan 1 is not connected yet). I must be missing somthing and efter spending the whole day its time for some expert help

I will attach the running config of the ASA in hope that someone can help me.

    Best regards

    Foli

Re: Cisco ASA 5510 not letting traffic to internet

You need a security plus license for the 5510 in order to use the dedicated management interface as a regular interface. I assume you have it but if not then that is your issue.

Is WAN 2 an internet facing interface? If so I don't see the corresponding nat config referenced in the object network?

    object network obj_any
    subnet 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

object network obj_any (Used for a PAT overload scenario)
    nat (Internal, WAN2) dynamic interface

May also be a good idea to test a flow with packet-tracer to see where its failing.

Also if WAN1 isn't being used then I would fix your default routes, at least till that other wan connection comes online, then you can change it back.

no route WAN1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 88.131.56.9 20 (remove this route until this interface goes live)

    route Wan2 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 195.198.115.129 21
