  • Free Cisco Catalyst Switch Lab

I have a home lab of Cisco switches that I share to the world. It is 100% free to use. No registration or reservation needed. The lab has 6 switches (4 of them L3 capable), and can be used to simulate Cisco's 3 layer model: access, distribution, and core.

    telnet 72.205.54.70 49001
    telnet 72.205.54.70 49002
    telnet 72.205.54.70 49003
    telnet 72.205.54.70 49004
    telnet 72.205.54.70 49005
    telnet 72.205.54.70 49006

I don't think I will add anymore. I might add some 2621 routers as part of a routing tunnel lab.
Topology posted at labswitch . blogspot . com . Just google for the URL.

    Thank you for logging in!

Auglan, thanks for visiting. The lab is evolving. For example, it is now full mesh, so any two devices can reach each other. It is basically my hobby, and used switches and cables is affordable.

I apologize for spamming, but it is 100% free and non-commercial. I don't have any advertisements, registration or accounting. You just login immediately anonymously. I don't have a forum or ask for any info.

Nice to see people logging in from around the world!

Re: Free Cisco Catalyst Switch Lab

I think it's a great effort to do this.
The only thing is, where we have to keep in mind is that we don't allow anything illegal on this forum. So, when Cisco says: "hey this is against our user policy" we have to remove the topic.

I'm not sure what Cisco would say about this.

Re: Free Cisco Catalyst Switch Lab

Shouldn't be an issue at all, I wouldn't think. Plenty of rack rental sites out there that do charge. Its nice to see a good lab that's free.

Re: Free Cisco Catalyst Switch Lab

With rack rentals, there can be some agreement between Cisco and the Rental company.
                  However I don't expect it's against Cisco's policies.

Re: Free Cisco Catalyst Switch Lab

I've seen some IP's from cisco.com domains, some traceroute to San Jose, CA, some to Bangalore. So, I think Cisco people use my lab, too.

BTW, 2 x 2621XM routers have been added to the lab. There is also a tunnel to a lab site in Bucharest.

If you have some Cisco routers or switches you want to tunnel to my lab, please contact me. Thanks!
