    Hi all

Just wanted to know if you can use the CNA to shut down and open ports ?

I don't really want to show my boss how to use Telnet and the commands.

I have looked and cant see anywhere obvious you can

For the record we get some ports that become err-disabled of which I am still investigating but about to go on hols.

    Thanks in advance

    John

Havent used the CNA but I know the CCP (Cisco Configuration Professional) will let you do it. CCP replaced the SDM for the IOS.

      Re: Cisco Network Assistant

CNA on my c2940 switch has an option to select Device Manager (installed on the switch) which allows:

      enable/disable port
      set port speed
      set port duplex
