    Hi Everyone

    Just like to know, is it possible without configuring the Internet explorer settings the traffic should pointed to proxy server.

    Yes it is.

    You would need to put the proxy inline and in transparent mode.

    Is this related to a Cisco product???

      Yes , i use cisco switch and then it has to foward to proxy server.

      Lem me explain you the setup. We use cisco switch, there the vlans are configured and then its reaching to firewall.

      Now our need is , when the user requesting for http traffic or https traffic the cisco switch should forward it to proxy server ?

        yep - you'd need to configure firewall rules so that anything for a destination port of 80, or 443, is forwarded to the relevant port on the proxy server.

          Is it possible to configure in the switch ? and write the acl ? and yes its an l3 switch here but routing is happening in the firewall end only , so not sure even if it is l3 switch which kept there and vlans are taken ther , is it possible to do it

            Not on a layer 3 switch as far as i'm aware.
