  • 857W Troubles

    Hi all,

This is my first post so please be gentle! I recently purchased a 857W as a much needed upgrade to our office modem/router but have been having some issues getting it setup. I have worked with Cisco products before (several years ag) and was rather hoping for the web interface to be more useful than it is, and am now rather stumbling in getting the config correct.

The router is on a BT ADSL connection and just needs to provide DHCP and internet to the office machines. I know the internet connection is fine (BT have confirmed there is an active session) but the PCs show "no internet connection" available. I belive I have the NAT settings correct and fear it may be an access-list issue, but any pointer would be very much appreciated. Config is attached.

    TIA

    Re: 857W Troubles

    Try changing this:

    Code:
ip nat inside source list 102 interface Dialer0 overload
    To this:
    Code:
ip nat inside source list 1 interface Dialer0 overload
    Because you don't have an access-list 102

        Re: 857W Troubles

You already have it on the Vlan1 interface which handles all of the FastEthernet ports.
