  • cisco 871 router: how to utilize 2 external static IPs

I have a Cisco 871W Router; ISP is providing 2 static IPs; how do I configure 2 of the FastEthernet ports on Router to have each port assigned to a static IP.

Basically all you want to do is create a secondary on the WAN interface so it would look something like this

    interface GigabitEthernet0/0
    description WAN
    ip address 2.x.x.2 255.255.255.224 secondary
    ip address 1.x.x.1 255.255.255.252

then just nat those address to internal hosts/ports as needed
