  • Question related to Extended ACL

    Hello,

I am trying to add a new ACL in my already created extended access controle list i.e. 115
But problem is > When I add the permit access-list its going below the deny access-list of the same acl group i.e. 115
I am sure thats the reason why I am facing connectivity issue.

How can I move newly created permit ACL below deny ACL?
I googled and found few pages but those aint explaining properly.
    Any1 can help?
I am using 3600 cisco router.
GUI is not enabled so I have to use cmd only.

    Regards,
    Amey.

      Thanks for quick reply.
I read info about numbering each line while adding in to perticular ACL
But currently lines in my existing ACL are not numbered.
In this scenario any idea about can I add permit line before deny any any line?
I tried to copy and paste whole ACL in note pad and added permit ip line before deny any any and paste back but it thrown lot of errors as some of those lines were like permit host a.b.c.d any ( 678490 match ) .

      Any help?

Re: Question related to Extended ACL

What do you see when you enter this command?

        router#show access-list

should be all your access lists with numbered lines.

btw, if you are using the paste method; you must delete the entire access-list before pasting it back or re-entering it by hand.
