  • how do you read the encryption in clear text

I know there is a CLI command to see the config on any Cisco device in clear text. I know if you TFTP the config file it puts it in clear text but I know there is a way in the CLI. any help?

I believe you are referring to the "more" CLI command

      Maybe the show run command?

I think show techsupport shows the password in plain text. But that dumps out everything.

        Edit:
        And google says:
        Code:
        >more system:running-config
Which is what scowles was referring to.

The show running-config command shows the running configuration of the device, including the passwords, if the service password-encryption command is not used: http://geek-university.com/ccna/ios-show-command/
