  • how to connect a linksys router/swith to a cisco switch

guy, I just connected my linksys router/switch to a CISCO switch, but the led of the cisco device is not on... I'm using a straight trough cable... do I need a crossover for this? Also the stat led is on.. is this the right mode for the switch? by the way is a 2900 series

    thanks

I connected one machine to the switch, but light will not come on... I know switches are suppose to work out of the box without any configuration.... and the mode is in "stat" yet I get no connection... is there anyway to test the ports for connection?

Switch to Switch require a crossover cable unless you device supports AUTO MDIX. I would console into that cisco switch to see what going on.
