  • dhcp router

hey been back after long time....

suppose i have a router handing out ip's to all of its interfaces..(dhcp)
    fa0/0 - 192.168.1.0 d/g 192.168.1.1 domain-name : subnet1
    fa0/1 - 192.168.2.0 d/g 192.168.2.1 domain-name : subnet2
    fa0/2 - 192.168.3.0 d/g 192.168.3.1 domain-name : subnet3

now can i restrict fa0/1 receiving ip from its router, instead get ip from other source..... like another router providing dhcp..

    Re: dhcp router

You want to stop handing out IPs on a certain interface, or you want to stop RECEIVING an IP via DHCP on that interface? If you want to stop sending, remove the DHCP pool for that subnet. If you want to stop receiving, statically set an IP on the interface.
