  • Crypto Map won't save

1st off, let me say that I've gotten a lot of useful information and it's saved my butt many times. Thank you all.

    Now on to the problem...

Ok, I have a Cisco 3725 router. I'm using it for site-to-site VPN and it works fine... unless it reboots.

Every time the router reloads it's config it loses it's crypto map for the wan interface and the VPN tunnel won't even try to establish. As soon as I enter "(config-if)#crypto map VPN_MAP" command to bind the map to the interface everything works fine.

Everything else saves just fine. This is the only problem I've had so far.

I've usd both the write command and the copy run start command... neither do the trick.

    Oh, I'm using the cli.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks again,
    Casey

    Hi caseykemmer,

    Try using the following command:

    copy system:running-config nvram:startup-config
