Not receive vmps confirmation msg from catOS 6509 switch

  • Not receive vmps confirmation msg from catOS 6509 switch

    Hi All,

    we have an two 6509 core switches and acts as a vmps primary and secondary server. In primary server i have manually disable & enable the vmps reconfirmation. After given the command i didn't get any msg from switch,the example msg will be come as mentioned in the bracket { VMPS-2-PARSEMSG: PARSER: 2748 lines parsed, Errors 0 }

    Switch Model : WS6509
    CatOS image : bootflash:cat6000-supk9.7-6-17.bin

    Are you not getting any message at all or are you getting the message you have in the brackets? If that is the case according to cisco there could be a problem with the database file.

    It's the section titled "Troubleshoot the VMPS Database File Download". It gives an example parse error.

    If your not getting any messages period check your logging configuration.
