  • Changing the Telenet Port Problem

    Hi All

    I got the error message while i was trying to change the default port of Telnet 23 to 3033

    Router = 857W
    IOS Version = "flash:c850-advsecurityk9-mz.124-6.T7.bin"

    while i applied the following commands i got this error:

    857w(config)#line vty 0 4
    857w(config-line)#rotary 33
    X121 address and queued type can not be configured on the same rotary group 33
    857w(config-line)#rotary 30
    X121 address and queued type can not be configured on the same rotary group 30

    can anyone help me to findout the real scene.

    Thanks & Regards

    Re: Changing the Telenet Port Problem

    rotary feature is for the purpose of reverse telneting (sshing) to a device with a router. This is called a Console terminal or a Terminal Server which allows you to connected to a console interface of another router by reverse telneting to that...

    800s do not support that feature and hence . check out this doc:

    Cheers
