  • Cisco 877 and multiple LAN IPs

I feel this may be a dumb question, so I apologise in advance.

On a Cisco 877 is it possible to have 2 LAN IPs in different subnets configured?

    Situation:
Site has 2 Cisco 877s on the same physical LAN, but they are on 2 different subnets. If one ADSL line is down I would like the ability to be able to telnet across on to the other router from the router that is online.

    Hope that makes sense!

    Thank you

      Hi,

      Yes you can!!

      try in interface vlanU
      ip address x.x.x.x x.x.x.x
      ip address y.y.y.y y.y.y.y secoundary

dont forget the route from x.x.x.x x.x.x.x to y.y.y.y y.y.y.y and vice versa.

dont also forget the acl for line vty 0 4

all of this in two routers

      I hope you understand well
