  • How to create Vlans

    Hi all.

sorry to barge in... but I need your help me setup a VLAN thru my Network

I'm maintaining 13 branches running on a single segment

each branch had their own DC and routers / switches

each branch has least 5 to 10 cisco switches (CE500 / 2950 series)

each branch is also running different systems / application

and had atleast 30 to 60 clients

my problem is that all clients are running on a single VLAN (the default vlan1)

I would like to setup a VLAN for those clients running with a system, so that it eliminate network traffic.

and also assist me in configuring my branch router, so I can still access those clients with VLANs even if I am in Head Office

    Thanks for the advance

    Glen

This is already your second fault.

      Hi Glen,

It appears to me you need to sit down and figure out exactly what clients you want to split up as far as Broadcast domains are concerned. If you are wanting to turn each location into 1 VLAN a piece, I would recommend figuring out if you want everyone to have access to each vlan etc. In your post you dont make that very clear.
