  • Unable to connect via http to modem through 800series

    Given the following:

    Computer - 192.168.111.100
    |
    |
    Cisco 831 int E0 - 192.168.111.254
    Cisco 831 int E1 - 192.168.100.200
    |
    |
    Broadband Modem - 192.168.100.254

(The pipes above indicate cabling) I need to be able to http into the BBModem to configure it from the Computer but am unable to. I can ping both Cisco interfaces from the computer but not the BBModem. From the Cisco I can ping the BBModem but not the computer. The computer is recieving its address via DHCP from the cisco.

    831 config is attached.

    Thanks,
    -Bill

No good, still can't ping the BBModem from the Computer and still no http connection.

Route table is now as follows:

Gateway of last resort is 192.168.100.254 to network 0.0.0.0

      C 192.168.111.0/24 is directly connected, Ethernet0
      C 192.168.100.0/24 is directly connected, Ethernet1
      S* 0.0.0.0/0 [1/0] via 192.168.100.254

Try creating an ACL on the internal interface with:
        Permit IP any any
        Permit ICMP any any

        Just for testing purposes.
