  • How to Acquire Cisco Config file

Hello. What I need to do is connect my laptop to some Cisco routers and switches, run the "show run" and "show tech" commands, and have the output saved to a text file on my laptop. My laptop has both Linux and Windows XP in case one OS is easier for this task.

Which cable would I use to connect my laptop to the networking devices? Would I need a roll-over cable?

Some step-by-step instructions would be great. Thanks very much.
    Was that so hard?

telnet/ssh to connect on ip or a rollover cable to use the console port.
