  • where can i download cisco ios

    Hi,


    I have a cisco router 2503 and I get an boot prompt that is Router(boot)> and i can not do any changes or any configurations. How can I make it to normal mode that is Router> so that i can configure my router. Please help me...

    Possible corrupted flash or a wrong config-register setting. At the prompt type this:


    o/r 0x2102
    i

    At this point the router will reboot and should boot to the IOS. If it doesnt you may have corrupted flash/ios. If thats the case you need to download a new IOS into flash.

      Didn't worked router

      hi,

      thanks for replying mr packet. i have tried the command

      Router(boot)>en
      Router(boot)#o/r 0x2102
      % Unknown command or computer name, or unable to find computer address
      Router(boot)#i
      Translating "i"...domain server (255.255.255.255)
      % Unknown command or computer name, or unable to find computer address
      Router(boot)#


      this is the error message i get when i do this........

      my cisco router model is 2503 how to download ios and update it could u please give me steps

      The version of my cisco router is Version 11.0(10c)

      where to download new version and what are the steps i need to upgrade

            Just tried the link and it is working. Suggest you try again. Just click the link. Do not copy and paste it into the browser.

              for downloading IOS software you need aa CCO account.

                Hi everyone,

                I have two cisco router 2503 where one is working fine without any problem. and another as i mentioned earlier its getting router(bgoot)> and can i do something backup from another router which is working fine....and copy the ios to the other router. If yes could u please guide with me steps

                  hi everyone atlast i checked with my router and i came to know the ios is corrupted. So, where can i download the cisco ios for my 2500 series router and the model is 2503 and the current version i am having for my router is Version 11.0(10c), SOFTWARE. Please give me the direct links so that i can download the cisco ios....

                      This is a common question and I have written a short article that covers the options on how to download the Cisco IOS.

                      However, I will tell you in advance, that the only way to download the IOS legally is through the Cisco website. To do that, you should have bought a license for the IOS through your reseller and you should have a maintenance contract on the router so that you can login and obtain the latest IOS from the link that wired posted below.
