  • ip route - ip default-network or quad zero

    Please help me, any
    If I have to determine a default route and I enter any of the bottom commands, or does it have to be specific.

    The question is about R1, R2 and R3, serial connections.
    R1= serial0 = 173.16.16.6
    R1= ethernet0 = 192.168.1.1
    R2= serial0 = 173.16.16.5
    "Configure a default route on R2 that forwards the default traffic to R1"

    1. R2(config)#ip route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 173.16.16.5

    2. R2(config)#ip default-network 173.16.16.6

    3. R2(config)#ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 s0

    Which is the correct command to do the task.
    "Configure a default route on R2 that forwards the default traffic to R1"

    If any answer please explain

    Re: ip route - ip default-network or quad zero

    ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 173.16.16.6

    that will create a default route with a next hop of 173.16.16.6
