    RDP works on TCP port 3389

    Many people feel that for security, people should join the VPN before attempting to use RDP, therefore they advise against opening port 3389 and pointing it at the server's local IP address. However, we have all had a discussion about whether or not traffic is encrypted by default. It's your judgement.
