  • New Vlan will not access internet

I have created a new VLAN in an environment that already has 3. My new vlan can get dhcp (from same Dhcp server as the rest of them), can browse all over the network, etc. etc.

The problem I have is that it will not access the internet. I can nslookup from it and get results, but can't browse the web.

I have an ASA 5510 between me and the internet. All other vlans can access the internet.

Any ideas on where to look?

    Marc
    Thank you,

    Marc

Did you try enforcing the allow access list (inside and outside) for the new Vlan. What I mean is to edit the NAT access.

Probably need to add the new subnet into scope for your PAT rule.

I needed to add the line:

        route inside x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0 x.x.x.x 1
        Thank you,

Help on VLAN switch with ISA Server 2006

          Hi guys,

I have configured 3 VLAN groups.

          VLAN 1 = 192.168.1.1
          VLAN 2 = 192.168.2.1
          VLAN 3 = 192.168.3.1

My ISA Server connected to VLAN 1 with 2 NIC (Internal and External), only VLAN1 workstations can access Internet, other VLAN unable to access Internet. (All VLAN group workstations are able to communicate to each other and files sharing.)

          Please advice

Re: New Vlan will not access internet

            Hi

As your ISA Proxy server is in VLAN -1

Two things you need to do for VALN-2, 3 etc to have internet access.

            1. Enable intervlan routing
            2. Set the proxy settings in the broswer for all VLAN-2, 3, etc as ISA proxy server.

            This will work.

            Regards
