  • Question about OSPF wildcards

Hi, I'm not all to familiar with using wildcard masks in OSPF so here goes.
Let's say I have network(defined below) and I want to distribute them in OSPF using area 0. Would this line if defined on all routers distribute all networks?

    Router(config-router)#network 130.10.0.0 0.0.7.255 area 0

    130.10.0.0 255.255.255.0 sub-int on router 3
    130.10.2.0 255.255.255.0 sub-int on router 3
    130.10.3.0 255.255.255.0 sub-int on router 3
    130.10.4.0 255.255.255.224 serial connection between router 1-2
    130.10.5.0 255.255.255.0 serial connection between router 2-3

    Re: Question about OSPF wildcards

    Yes, this is right

    the 0.0.7.255 mask would encompass-

    130.10.0-7.0-255

I like the Boson subnet calculator that also does wildcard masks to verify this stuff without getting out a pencil and paper
