    i have fix 515E rel 7.1(2) ur licience
    when i configure any port with speed 100 and duplex full and the other side catalyst 3560 series configured the port with speed auto and duplex auto
    i can't see the pix from the switch

    Hi,

    Does the interface on the switch come up ok? I would set the switch to 100 full as well, it won't do any harm.

    Have you set up IP addresses on the PIX interfaces?

      Set all the interfaces to Auto for testing.


      Make sure the interfaces/ports are not shut down, do the "no shut" command on them. As long as you are directly connected and on the same network with these devices, you should be able to see each other.


      Run the "show arp" command on the Pix to see if the switch is in it's arp table too.
