  • Hub-and-Spoke using 1811W (IOS 12.4)?

    Hello:

Can the Cisco 1811 play the role of a hub in a hub/spoke topology? If so, can the incoming traffic be on the same outside interface as the ougoing traffic? i.e. if I enable EasyVPN server on FastEthernet0, and set up a IPSec tunnel with a remote hub on the same interface FastEthernet0, how do I instruct the incoming EasyVPN traffic (10.7.77.0/24) to have access to the local network resources behind the router's inside interface (192.168.100.0/24) as well as the remote network resources at the far end of the VPN tunnel (10.7.9.0/24)?
If this can't be done, what's the best way to give mobile users access to their company's LAN as well as a remote HQ's LAN?

    Thank you in advance,

    Martha

    hi

I think if you have layer -2 managable switch this can be done.

    1. Make two separate VLANs for the internal network and external ones.
    2. make subinterfaces in the routers fastethernet port.
    3. Now you will have virtually 2 interfaces ..
    4. Enable inter-vlan routing
    4. you can create the VPN policies applied on the respective virtual-interface on the wan side.

Hope this idea may help you.

    Thanks and best regards
