  • Deleting an IOS version from the flash it is not complety removed

    Hi,
    I am new in the Cisco world.
    When I deleted an older IOS from the flash using the following command
    delete flash:c2600-ipbasek9-mz.124-7.bin the system marked the file as deleted
    [deleted] but continue to display it even after reload.
    Why is it happening and how can it be completely removed without erase flash: command.

    I suspect you need to use the squeeze command
