  • Help with networking ( router )

    i know this isent a cisco router but i have searched threw tons of sites looking for an answer to this question maybe you guys could help ...i hooked up my linksys router and i set up the network fine but like 5 minutes later i keep getting the router lights blinking the internet and the others except for the power and it connects and disconnects my firewall is not up on any of the computers and iv tried open the ports? if you need any other information or something stated more clearly just tell me im not good at explaining things right away

    I take it the firewall your mentioning is a firewall app installed locally on your machine?

    do you lose internet connectivity at any time?

    did you just leave all the 'out of the box' defaults?

        I will try to help you, but you need to supply more information;

        * Internet connectivity - DSL or Cable

        * Linksys model

        * Wired or wireless connectivity

        * Client Operating system and security suite.
