  • Can an ODBC connection be setup for ALL TS users?

I want to setup an ODBC connection for all TS users so that they can use an Access DB which in turn is a front-end for a SQL Server database which resides on another server.

    Is this possible and how?

    Windows 2003 TS.

    You can use system DSN:

Or use a script to create ODBC:

I created the System DSN, but it keeps asking for a username and password each time i try to use it in XL. I have filled in the username & password in the DSN already!?

Can I get the username & password to default?

I need to use one particular username & password because it has been setup to access specific parts of our SQL Server database.

If the user belong to the local admin group - this reslove this issue?
It also a bad idea to use one user/pass to access database...
