  • RDT users cannot connect to new Terminal Server 2003

I just added Terminal Services to a WSE2003 machine. The domain is an NT4 domain.

I have fiddled and fooled with the users and group permissions under Terminal Services configuration\Connections > properties > permissions. I've added domain users directly. I have added users and groups to the "Remote Desktop Users" group. I have created and added local users.

I have gone to the policy editor and enabled remote desktop.

    But, no one can connect.

Before installing Terminal Services, I could connect using the Administrative RDT, but not any longer.

    Any ideas?

You dont need to create local accoount for users on the TS.

Thank you for your response Yuval, but I had looked at these two web docs before. It appears that my Terminal Services server is not going to see the newly installed License Server until I reboot the server!

I will cron the reboot for tonight and see what tomorrow brings.

M$ kills me. They want to be “mission critical”, but every thing requires a reboot!

May God be with us all!
