  • RDWeb: Start Application on local machine with file from RDWeb

I donīt know if its possible to do so, but i try to find a solution for the following:

I want to start e.g. a local winword with a file from the rdweb, like:
    "\\tsclient\c\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15\winword.exe" z:\example.doc
Where z: is a drive on the RDWeb.

When i try this, i get "nothing", no errormessage and also no screen output....!

    Has anyone an idea ?
    Thx in advance, Werner

Let me see if I understand this correctly: You're trying to run the "winword.exe" executable stored on the local machine from inside an RDP session to a different system? I'm sorry, but why on earth would you want to do that?

Either Word/Office in installed on the system to which you are connecting using RDP, in which case winword.exe resides in a subdirectory of "Program Files" on that system and it would make no sense to run it from a different location, or Word/office is not installed on the remote system, in which case it would make no sense to try and run winword.exe regardless of where it's stored, since that isn't going to work anyway.
