  • Terminal Server Implementation on Clustering W2003 Server

    Hi everyone,

We would like to implement Terminal Server on set of three W2003 Server Clustering. We are thinking of load balancing more than high availability, so I was wondering if someone has done a similar implementation in order to get some guidelines.

    Thanks in advance,
    David

The official links can help you:

And few tips from the filed:

    1. Please use the same hardware for each server - This will save you
to calculate the balance in each changes.

    2. Please use servers with 2 NIC's -
One for the provate LAN and the other for public.

    3. Please review Microsoft comments on switch floods and recommended
Switch configurations - You may need assistant of communication support
    staff to complete the settings.
Its recommended to use manage switch from the following vendors:
    HP/Nortel/Cisco.

The following link can be useful to know about known issues with
    Network switches:

    4. Donít set NLB password for management. This will allow hacker (or boring user)
To get control of the NLB terminal server settings.
