  • Redirected Printer Settings not working in Remote Desktop

    Hi,

We have a Remote Desktop 2008 R2 based environment and are having some issues with redirected printers. Printers are deployed from a 2008 R2 based print server to local machines with duplexing set to on for all printers (mix of HP and Minolta printers). The Easy Print driver is turned off and the relevant printer drivers are installed on the remote desktop servers directly.

When a user prints locally, their printer is set to automatically duplex by default. When the user connects via RDP to the remote desktop environment, the local printer redirects correctly, but duplexing is off and has to be switched on for each print job.

This is really frustrating our users. Is there a solution to this?

    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi,

Did you tried to use the univeral driver from the printer vendor?

Enable duplex for required printers in Terminal server too.
Keep us posted with your findings
