  • Adding a 2nd Remote Desktop server 2008R2

We have one 2008R2 RD server installed and working fine with all folders redirected using Group policy and standard applications like office installed.

We wish to add a second 2008R2 RD server - and have configured to a similar standard/level and added it to the same OU for Group policy.

But when I connect to it with a user that already works fine on the first - it doesn't apply any of the folder redirection and just sets up a profile on the new server.

Has anyone got some steps by step instructions on how to add a second RD server - then going on from that add a connection broker service and a remote desktop gateway for external users.

Thanks for any help and advice in advance.

Did you redirect the users to a network share in a third server? The folder redirct logic recommanded to use this deployment methood.

Also, most of the information for TS deployment could be found in:

Folder Redirection and user profiles are 2 different things. Which of the 2 do you have configured?

        Hi

Yes we have done that - my concern is now we wish to have an additional server are there any additional settings that need to be configured - apart from adding at some stage the connection broker service - which we will do once we have the second server working properly.

        But thanks anyway.
