  • Increase Logon Screen Timeout

We use smart card authentication. It could take 60 seconds or more for our smart card to be read. During this time, the session blacks out and disconnects, before the smart card could actually be read. By moving the mouse around and showing activity, the timeout won't occur.

How can I increase the initial Windows welcome screen timeout? I'm only able to find the group policies for idle time and other already logged in parameters.

    Thanks,

    Chase

    Re: Increase Logon Screen Timeout

There should be some overwrite via registry, but this option isn't supported. It's better to find out why if take a long time for the BIO Authentication to work...
