  • RDP Printer not working

    Hello
We are running Windows server 2003 Terminal Servers. We have a company we allow to use our sage server. They connected to us by a VPN connection then RDP to the Terminal server. They want to install a printer on their side. What we have done in the past is install the printer to LTP on the terminal server which is a HP universal Printer Driver pcl6 v5.26.9321 which I download from HP so when the user RDP to the server it picks this up is that correct? On the RDP session local resource are ticked. This is not working the printer is set then in event ID is unpublished

    HELP

    Hi,

How you installed the HP universal Printer Driver? Did you installed the HP universal Printer Driver on the client side?

      Hello

They sent me a screen shot of the driver which was Hp unverisal V5.1 which is the same as the terminal server when it picks it. Everything just looks right but it does not print

Please read the links that I send to you and install the universal driver on the clients. Also, I recommanded to move to the latest driver version.

          Re: RDP Printer not working

          Hi,

The other company are asking if it the Firewall Blocking The VPN connection?. We are using a VPN client called stoneSoft?. Could I add a local LTP5 port on their local machine to pickup the driver? This is driving me crazy. The other comaony are using a print server on 17.25.67.2 port 9100 we are using 192.168.1.*/24 network.

          Cheers

              Re: RDP Printer not working

              Morning

That what they are asking, but I can't see why the TS is not working. if you look at the TS server when they connect in printers

HP crm_fxi(from medco) in session 6 then look in the driver on printer properties its the same but every time they print it fails,

                Re: RDP Printer not working

Please use telnet printerip 9100 from the TS... The port may blocked in the firewall etc.
