    We are running 2 terminal servers (Server2003 SP2) with ThinPrint RDPengine v7, enabling abstraction of print drivers at our remote branches.

    We are experiencing the following problem on some of our most recently issued client machines, both XP, and Windows7:
    After logging-on to windows on the client and opening an RDP session, the ThinPrint client is visible in the taskbar, and the client's locally attached printer appears in the list of available printers in the terminal session. If the terminal session is terminated, no matter by which method, the ThinPrint client is not initialized when establishing a new RDP session. In order to enable the ThinPrint client it is necessary to log off the user session on the windows client.

    Has anybody else experienced such a problem?

    I recommanded to call to ThinPrint support staff and verify that you use the latest application build.

      Thanks Yuval, I'll try that, although our previous experience with them was not good (they didn't reply to e-mails).

      I'll post when & if we find a solution to this issue.

        I guess that if you will force logoff after x min. for disconnected sessions, it will resolve this issue.
        Did you used the hotfixes?

        Also, do you use Version 8.0? If not, please use the latest build.

          Hello,

          I am not sure, whether this is the same issue, but I had the problem thet the .print client did not start at all. Which was with version 7.6.

          After upgrading to 8.0 it worked fine an I do not have this anymore.


          Did you have any success with the current client version?

          May be you yould find some help in the Thinprint forums, or try through the tech support, as I did not have complains about them so far.
