  • RDS Roles on Server Core 2008 R2?

I don't see RDS listed in the MS excerpts for Server Core and just wanted to double check before I do a full Windows installation... Are Remote Desktop Role Services supported and doable in 2008R2 Server Core?

The whole idea behind server core, that it only has core functions. So no fancy GUI, and only a remote desktop for administration. The desktop only has a dos like menu for very basic first installation tasks and a cmd box.

Yes I get the idea behind the server core installations. I'm just wanting to know if RDS service roles which might not be necessarily local GUI dependent (License Srv, Connection Broker?) to execute, can be deployed on a server core box?

Ahh... Remote Desktop Virtualization Host is the only one.

Very helpful link, thanks a ton!
