  • Can't log to session

    server 2008

I've added 2 applications to RemoteApp manager and gave a user logon rights (Active Directory).
When he tries to access (mstsc) it says: "the user is not authorized for the remote access. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

      Re: Can't log to session

If I add the user to remote desktop users' group he gains full access, not only to the applications I specified in "TS RemoteApp manager". I want him to have access only to certain applications.

      Thanks

        this guide
        http://www.enterprisenetworkingplane...l-Services.htm

        suggests exactly what I suggested.

If you're trying to access via RDP using a "start this application at logon" then it will definitely need that. If you're trying to use the TSWeb Gateway, it might be different.

          Re: Can't log to session

My mistake, it's not RemoteApp, I want users to RDP (mstsc) the TS and access (only) 2 applications. I've added the user to the "remote desktop users" and in Active Directory, in user's properties added "start the following program at logon" (see image). When he connects (RDP) to the server he has full access (full desktop)....and we don't want that
I have to mention that the users connect from thin clients, e.g no operating system, just mstsc.

          Thanks
