    Re: number connections

    Hi caspi,
Didn't find anything you can call a strait forward answer. You can however try two things:

    1) Use WMI for Nagios
    http://exchange.nagios.org/directory...ms/Windows/WMI
    Use Terminal Services Win32_Terminal Class:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...(v=VS.85).aspx

    2) Try using SNMP browser and manually search for the number. Connect 5 users, use the browser to look for all the 5's. If you can't find any - tough luck. If you find 1 or more, alter the number of connected users to make sure it's really this OID.

BTW, if you have a few windows servers, I'd go with WMI - you can definitely get more info from a windows box and it's services via WMI interface.
    Good luck.

      Re: number connections

Thank you for help, so I have another problem with WMI. May be you know sollution:

Terminal server is running Windows 2008 Standart and I tryed to execute this query in WMI Explorer.

      select * from Win32_TerminalService

      There is not output. Nothing.

      select * from Win32_TimeZone

      works fine.

      Any Idea?
      Thanks

        Re: number connections

if you;re playing with WMI, download scriptomatic from the microsoft scripting guy's website.
        it's fantastically useful.

there might just not be anything in win32_terminalservices

also, try snmpwalk - it may return soe MIBS for you

          Thanks I will try.

On client it works fine, WIndows 7 corectly return values, WIndows 2008 with terminal services not.
          Thanks

            Re: number connections

I don't know mate, ran the command you specified on Win2008 R2 and got a result:

            select TotalSessions from Win32_TerminalService
            total sessions: 3

Did you try to run the WMIexplorer locally? Elevated? Do you even see this call registered? Win32_TerminalService?
