  • Persistent user settings

    Hello all,

Is there a method to keep the user settings for a user when than user roams between a terminal session an a workstation. The outlook signature by example is lost. Roaming profiles is not an option.
I know the are some commercial tools that can do this, but are there other methods?

    Re: Persistent user settings

you could keep both desktops consistent by applying desktop/office settings via group policy, for example the default file open location in word could be pointed to a network share (you might be able to do this with signature as well). This is more "forcing" the user to have a consistent experience across the desktop then allowing their own customizations to follow, given roaming profiles are not an option then that's the best i can think off

      This can do the trick:

Thanks for your reply, I already do folder redirection, but the redirection of the appdata folder gives troubles to some applications. So we keep appdata local. We also do some office policy settings. There are however still office settings that users change to their personal settings.
