  • PRINTER TRAY AT Trminal Server 2003

    Hello

I have installled many drivers at our TS 2003
The driver of some printers need to use tray 3 so I have to install this tray at the printer driver

The issue is thay I didn't install every printer I just install the driver at the "server properties " of the printers so i dont know where to change to add another tray.

If I instal lthe printer change append a tray and the delete the printer
the default driver still have just 2 trays!

    ANY HELP?
    thanks

If I understand your question correctly, you want to add another tray to existing printer?
If so, IMHO you can't do that. The printer configuration and behavior is dictated by the print driver. Can you please tell us the exact model of the printer and the exact driver name and version that you are using?

IMHO = in my humble opinion
        Please read chapter 3:
        http://www.ehow.com/how_2142067_tray...p-printer.html
I know it's not your printer, but the instructions may be similar or exactly the same.

BTW, it looks like this printer has no 3rd tray:
          http://www.office.xerox.com/latest/311BR-01.PDF

HP 4050: Only T and TN models have 3rd tray:
          http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...odTypeId=18972

Help us help you! What are the exact models and drivers in use for them?

            Hello
I wrote the drivers name because the driver didn't mean the exact model of printer you have.
Yes we have HP4050 TN also.
The others models I don't really know wath they are because there are printers from outside users.

I know that i have to install the 3rd tray at the printer but i dont have a printer at my terminal server I have just a driver
            Thanks

              OK, now we're getting somewhere
What is the driver name and version for the HP 4050TN? Have you tried installing a new driver? Had you tried installing the universal print driver?

You can get it from here:

You can go to File > Server Properties from the Printers and Faxes window and from there click properties on files. Some of the files have version info.

I would try installing the latest driver for you printer. What is the OS? 2003/2008? 32/64 bit?

Re: PRINTER TRAY AT Trminal Server 2003

                          Please try installing those two:
                          http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...Item=lj-4119-3

                          http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...Item=lj-4103-3

After installing, select the appropriate driver; I would start with pcl6.

Also, those link are for English version of the driver. In case you need different language, please download what is appropriate for you here:
                          http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...&swEnvOID=1005

Word of caution: installing a new printer driver during this printer being used can cause problems. I would change all 4050 printers to pcl5 for example and then install the pcl6 driver.

                          Good luck.
