  • Slow response time, 3 party software

    Hey Guys.

I am running some terminalservers here (server 2008 ) and everything is good. We are located in denmark. We have people connecting to our terminal servers from China, and that is definately not running good because of the very high latency from china.

Now the answer im seeking, is weather there is 3 party software that will make this run smoother. When they type text is comming seconds after the push the button, i think you all know this.
I know that citrix have a better way of handling traffic, and their ica protocol uses much less bandwith, but i think citrix is overkill, there must be other options ?

    Best regards Mikkel

Have you tried LogMeIn -- I have found it is sometimes quicker than remote desktop
Also check with your ISPs to see if you can set up some sort of dedicated link that does not go via satellite -- min 0.4 second lag there and some routes use it.

I have tried logmein, also runs like shit. Im seeking software that will make my terminal server compress traffic, and decompress in the other end, or something like that ?

Have a look at Ericom Blaze, a software product that accelerates AND compresses standard Microsoft RDP, so it speeds RDP while conserving bandwidth. Blaze accelerates RDP performance by as much as 10-25 times, and helps deliver higher frame rates and reduce screen freezes and choppiness.

You can read more about Blaze and download a free evaluation at:

          Hope this helps.
