  • Allowing windows explorer search -problem

    Hi

In our terminal services lockdown policy we have allowed users to still use the search function from the start menu. We have removed server drives and network places etc.

The problem is that if when logged in with remote desktop they use the search function and they use \\servername or Ip they can see all the shares.

Is there a way of preventing this or do we have to go and change all the shares.

any thoughts of best way of giving the users access to a search function for their mapped drives and nothing else.

Thanks for any help in advance.

You can deploy Micrsoft Fast Search etc.

Give the users the appropriate share and security permissions and you don't have to worry about it.
