  • Terminal services Licensing.

    Hi All,

First of all an apology if this post is in the wrong forum

There is a user in my organization who has been using citrix to connect to applications like oracle applications. This is not a local user within the lan but he is from a diffrent branch. for the past few days He is unable to acees any applications through citrix. He is getting a message like No terminal service licenses are available. I checked the Licensing server and we have enough licenses available to be issued.

I found many posts reg. deleting the mslicensing sub key on client side HKLM and it will be recreated or re-connection but no success here. the key is not getting created. User has administrator priviliges on local machine. I even copied mslicensing key from my pc to his to have a go but a failure here too.

the moment I delete the mslicensingkey and restarted i am not getting any error but i cant even open the applications. It is simply loading i.e. downloading and whoosh. disappear. I even tried reinstallation of ica32 package.

other people working with him are having no problems.

    1. What is the OS of the client + server?
    2. What is the Citrix version?
    3. What is the status of the Citrix license pool?
    4. Is the TS can connect to MS License Server + Citrix License Server?

An update on the situation. Tried deleting the mslicensing key on somw workstations running windows xp. It worked. New licenses got generated. But cannot accomplish the same on clients running Vista or Windows 7
