  • Granting Access using MAC address's

    Hello all,

I have a problem. I have a computer that is running Windows 2003, and I need to be able to restrict EVERYONE except the MAC address's that I allow.

Is this possible using Group Policy? if so, how would I go about doing it?

The problem is it is a build server, that we are using to build our install software, and someone keeps reseting it while its building. Windows update has long been turned off, just for this reason.

    Thanks in advance,

    Ben

Why not just disconnect it from the network when building it.

Or connect it to a small hub if you need to be connected to a "Network".

Thats not going to work for me.

I am specifically looking for a way to block all connections except the ones I permit. Is there a way to do that?

Re: Granting Access using MAC address's

Please note that you may need to use access list by using manage switch or installing firewall on the TS it self.
There no build in firewall on Windows that can limit connection on MAC basis.
Also, please note that is very easy to spoof IP or MAC.
