  • Disk quota management problem with TS

    Hi all,

We are running a 2003 Server TS with disk quota enabled. Users have 1Gb limit on the disk. Everything was running smooth until yesterday, now newly created users cannot logon to TS wth error,

Windows cannot log you on because your profile cannot be loaded. Check that you
are connected to the network, or that your network is functioning correctly. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - There is not enough space on the disk.

I noticed that when I uncheck "Deny disk space to users exceeding quota limit" box, the user can logon and his profile is created, however a log file is created by Drwatson with a size of 500mb.

    Any ideas on this?

    1. Why to allow users to save things in their profiles? User folder redirect and quota on remote storage.

    2. I guess that the owner of the folder isn't system etc. so you will need to check who is the owner of the default profile and the new one.

    3. Why not to use quota of Windows 2003 R2 or Windows 2008 that allow setup quota per folder?!
