  • Enable Sounds on Terminal Server 2003

    Greetings!

We are running Windows Terminal Server 2003. Users use thin clients (HP) to connect. We want to enable audio (sounds) for only one client/user.

I understand that you have to enable Audio Mapping under RDP onthe server, but is there a way to "mute" users or selected users via GP?

Not sure server side but you can map the sound settings on the RDP client that Windows uses. If you find a suitable GP, you can create a policy that denies everyone sound. You can then deny the user Read and Apply rights on it, so they get sound.
