  • Remote desktop/TS Web connection

I might be misunderstanding how the remote desktop / TS web connection app works but i want to be able to loginto a secure website (located within the dmz of our network), open a page with the remote desktop connection client and then connect to one of our servers. Is this possible without opening the security up too much?

    Thanks in advance

    TS

Citrix/Cockpit allow you to use RDP/ICA gatway.
The access to www.test.com can be on TCP Port 80/443 but the ICA/RDP dont use TCP 80/443 and require from the server side to use dynamic ports.
The only solution is to use third party product like Citrix/Cockpit to create SSL VPN.
BTW - Check Point firewall NG/NGX can create the same gateway for you!

You can do that, but I'd look into other methods of connecting to the first server, i.e. VPN and so on. TSWeb is mearly a replacement to the MSTSC client, that's all.

What exactly are you trying to do?

Well i was on a course all week and i only had web access and wanted to do some stuff on a server. So no chance of a VPN. I'm not to bothered now but hey it would have been nice.
