  • Dcom Error

    Hello all
I have a windows 2003 r2 terminal server that is used for connecting the internet.
Lately</SPAN> I started to receive DCOM error massage for some of the users.
This server is also an active directory.
I know that I should not install terminal server on active directory server but the old network manager didnít know that.
Can someone redirect me to the solution of the error event?

        Re: Dcom Error

        Hello,

If you just want to be rid of the error message just do the following:
        1. Search for the CLSID you see in the event in the Registry using regedit.exe
        2. Find out what is the friendly name of this DCOM object
        3. Open dcomcnfg.exe
        4. Go to Component Services - Computers - My Computer - DCOM Config - find your DCOM object and click on properties
        5. Go to the security tab and add the relevant permissions to the users group
        Thanks,
        Smart-X
