  • Weird error at logoff.

    Hi,
some of users getting the error at logoff from TS session.

    see screenshot.
One complained a week ago. I logged in and logoff under his credentials and didn't have any problem, but today I logged in under different user name and received the error.
When I click logoff the screen becomes empty and stayes about 2 minutes after that I got an error. When click Ok the window closes like as session was normally closed

    What that?

    Thx.

As per forum rule 8, please can you post a better screenshot - one of just the error message. I had to save the image and zoom in to be able to read it.

Lamers that do not know how to make a screen capture might consider using the ALT + Print Key combination and pasting the result in mspaint.exe. Non lamers might want to try SnagIt or other capturing utilities.
Additionally, "Weird error at logoff" is not a particularly informative thread title.

      gforceindustries,
you don't have to save anything...

      1. Click a thumbnail
      2. Click anywhere in opened window.
      The cursor will become a
      magnifying glass
      3. Click again and you will see sharp pic.

Just to let you know: before I apply my post I always click preview and check attached images.

      Thanks for trying to help.

A sharp pic, but not an especially big one.

sorry, don't know what is big for you...
It's absolutely readable and I used a standard way: print screen save as jpeg

I'm not sure about that error, but my reply is regarding ur screen shot
Open mspaint first, click print screen, go to mspaint, do control+v
or edit paste, click the select icon in paint(see attachment) highlight ur bit, then
            click ctrl+n, or file new.
Paste ur image into the new mspaint window and do file save, and choose jpg.

              Re: Weird error at logoff.

this is exactly what I did...
again, just for you I checked on couple of screens and it looks absolutely fine...

you started by saying me check the rules. and with saving attach on desktop...
              that is not necessary.

So the thread becomes useless after 5 posts. The person who could have a real answer will not look at it because somebody started a help.

But, now it's not about a real problem...
              About nothing.

Do you use the same computer name / SID in the domain?

                  Yuval,
couldn't be the same name/SID in my case.
And it is a new ... Didn't see it before.

Btw, logged in today and get different screen ...
The screen stays like this until click Cancel.

Looks like it disconnects and not logging off.

Just don't say make a picture bigger by Rule #8 of the forum.

Are you experiencing any other issues with the network?

Are network drivers up to date?

Is your DNS healthy? What's the response time if you ping the TS?

                      Re: Weird error at logoff.

I got a suggestion from one of MVP (TS specialist) to try
                      UPHClean tool for W2003
                      http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=1B286E6D-8912-4E18-B570-42470E2F3582&displaylang=en

                      Very valuable utility.
In my case I don't have any errors in event viewer related to user session mentioned in the article. I installed this service and tried to login from my laptop under 3 user names. Logoff is clean now. Looks like it fixed the problem.
I have to confirm with remote users.

FYI, after you click on the attachment, click on the new window, and it will get bigger. It's full size to me.
